Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information WebAnalyzer collects, how scan requests are handled, and the choices you have.
Last updated: August 14, 2026
1. Overview
WebAnalyzer ("we", "us", "our") provides a free website that lets visitors check Core Web Vitals, SEO, performance and accessibility scores for any public web address. This policy describes how the site handles information when you use it.
2. Information the scanner uses
When you enter a web address and click "Generate report," your browser sends that address directly to Google's PageSpeed Insights API to run a Lighthouse audit. We do not operate a server in the middle of this request, and we do not collect, log, or store the URLs you scan or the reports returned.
Because the request is made from your browser, the address you enter and your IP address are visible to Google as the operator of the PageSpeed Insights API. Their handling of that data is governed by Google's own privacy policy.
3. Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our hosting provider and any analytics tools we use may automatically collect standard technical information when you visit, such as:
- Browser type and version
- Device type and screen size
- Pages visited and time spent on the site
- General location (derived from IP address, e.g. country or city level)
- Referring website, if any
This information is used only in aggregate to understand how the site is used and to keep it running reliably. It is not used to identify individual visitors.
4. Cookies
This site uses minimal cookies. If analytics tools are enabled, they may set cookies to distinguish returning visitors. You can disable cookies in your browser settings at any time; the scanning tool will continue to work without them.
5. Third-party services
WebAnalyzer relies on the following third-party services to operate:
- Google PageSpeed Insights API — runs the Lighthouse scan and returns scores and metrics for the address you enter.
- Google Fonts — loads the typefaces used on this site. Loading fonts may share your IP address with Google's font servers.
We do not sell, rent, or share personal information with advertisers, and we do not run advertising on this site.
6. Data retention
We do not maintain a database of scanned URLs or report results. Any automatically collected technical/analytics data (Section 3) is retained only as long as necessary for the purposes described, in line with our hosting and analytics providers' standard retention periods.
7. Children's privacy
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or request deletion of personal data held about you. Since WebAnalyzer does not store personal data tied to your scans, there is generally nothing to delete on our end relating to your use of the scanner itself. For questions about analytics or technical data, please use the contact details below.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in how the site operates or to comply with legal requirements. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision.
